This late victorian property was showing signs of its age with worn lime mortar joints, patches of cement-based repairs carried out over the years and decaying bricks. The apex of this building is quite exposed which goes some way to explain why it has suffered and why this section of the building is worse than the rest.

The apex needed a fair bit of brick replacement. Heritage bricks can be extremely difficult to locate as the clay used tends to be specific to the area. In this case victorian era bricks were located thought the colour doesn't tie in perfectly. We think it's a fair match taking into consideration heritage bricks don't just vary in colour, but also in size.

We repointed the brick quoins at the front of the house as well as the four brick window reveals. The brickwork around the front door on the side of the property was also repointed.
