Grade II listed Oxfordshire cottage lime repointing

This was an extremely enjoyable repointing project. We were faced with a deteriorated lime mortar which left open joints and was also the subject of a great deal of masonry bee activity. The property had very little cement pointing which meant that the rake out could be carried out almost entirely with hand tools. The property was repointed with a hot-mixed quicklime mortar.
